Chivda – With a cup of tea

Chivda

With a cup of tea, eating bhujia or papdi is always a delight. We sometimes skip it, but we do have to give thought to our weight and health. Consider my health and I decided to make sure that I always have a roasted poha-chivda in the kitchen. Enjoy the recipe.

Ingredients

4 cups of poha

2tsp mustard seed

4tbsp cashewnuts

4 tbsp peanuts

4tbsp raisins

2tbsp chana dal

15 to 20 curry leaves

Thinly slice 5-7 green chilies

1/2 tsp citric acid

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp powdered Sugar

Salt to your taste

Method

Roast poha on low heat for 8-10 minutes, until it becomes crisp.

Allow to cool in large kadai.

In a kadai heat oil and fry cashews and peanuts separately.
